Evan Katz is an Executive Producer and Showrunner of NBC's The Event.


Evan Katz serves as executive producer and showrunner of NBC's new high-octane conspiracy thriller "The Event."

Previously, Katz served as executive producer of the long-running series "24,”where he received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, as well as the Writers Guild of America episodic dramatic script award for his work on the episode "Day 2: 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m."

Katz created and was the executive producer of the shows "Three"and "Special Unit 2."

Born and raised in Queens, N.Y., Katz received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University. In addition, he earned a master’s degree from the Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California.

Katz currently resides in Los Angeles.[1]
